COVID-19 OPERATING PROCEDURES - WITH EFFECT 19 JULY 2021
OUR SALON
- We have undertaken a thorough review of our salon and services
- We have re-arranged the salon space to maximise space between styling stations and waiting areas
- Every surface will be cleaned regularly and wiped with the appropriate sanitiser/disinfectant
- All items of equipment will be disinfected before and after each appointment
- Clean gowns and towels will be offered to every customer
- We will ensure adequate ventilation throughout the salon with doors and windows open where possible
- All team members are trained to care for our customers in a safe, hygienic and professional
- All team members will wear masks and/or visors at the present time
- Staff have been briefed not to attend the salon if they have a temperature or are feeling unwell or if any person in their household is unwell or is self-isolating
- We have reviewed our service menu and removed any that we feel will be unsafe at this time. We reserve the right to amend the service offering and reinstate those we have temporarily ceased
- Our team will continue to wear masks and/or visors at the present time. All team members will wash their hands before and after every client appointment and change PPE as needed
- It is preferable for an appointment to be made in advance but we do offer walk in appointments.
- Parking is still available at the rear and our back door will be open for use.
- Hand sanitiser is provided and must be used on entry to the salon
- Although not mandatory from 19th July 2021, we would encourage clients to continue to wear masks whilst they are in the salon. We will continue to review the situation and may change our position regarding masks at our discretion and potentially phase out their use
- We would ask that clients try where possible to come alone to their appointment but we appreciate this is not always possible.
- Clients are asked to minimise what they bring into the salon as you will be asked to keep your personal belongings with you at the workstation only. Please try to not bring coats or jackets or shopping, etc
- We will continue to only operate a CASH OR CHEQUE ONLY payment system.
- Arrive at the salon at the agreed time to maximise social distancing..
- Arrive with freshly washed, clean hair. Alternatively, we will have to wash your hair before we are able to cut it and charge our wash cut service charge
- To use hand sanitiser before and after your appointment
- To wear your own mask or one that we can provide as you enter the salon and for the duration of your time in the salon
- We will not be able to serve refreshments
- We will not be able to offer magazines or newspapers in the salon
- We will not be able to offer use of our staff toilet
- We would ask that adequate notice is given to change or cancel an appointment (24 hours is preferred). We will then be able to offer that appointment to another customer. Non-attendance, insufficient notice or late attendance to an agreed appointment will incur the full fee payable at your next appointment. Due to the spacing of appointments, it is imperative that we are able to keep to our schedule to ensure social distancing and hygiene are maintained
- Do not come to the salon if you or anyone in your household are unwell or self-isolating
- You will be required to provide your personal contact details before you leave the salon but will not have to use the Government's Track and Trace QR code. We will destroy these details after the mandatory 21 days.
We recognise that these new operating procedures are different to what you would normally experience. Please be assured that we will be making every effort to ensure your time at the salon is not only safe but as relaxing and positive as possible. We really look forward to welcoming you back to The Barber Shop.
